We provide clarity for estates managing inherited jewelry and precious metals. Our primary goal is to identify what you have and explain your options, so you can make informed decisions without pressure.

Important Notice: Coal Creek Gold LLC is an estate consulting service. We are not a pawn broker and do not offer loans. We do not maintain retail business hours. All services are strictly by appointment only. We identify and value precious metals; we do not provide appraisals.

1. Estate Consultation & Identification

The "Jewelry Box" Audit. Inherited collections often contain a mix of fine jewelry, costume pieces, and plated items. We sort and identify every piece to separate actual value from sentimental keepsakes.

  • Sorting: Segregating gold, silver, and platinum from base metals and costume jewelry.
  • Purity Testing: verifying karatage (10k, 14k, 18k, 24k) and sterling standards (.925) using non-destructive methods where possible.
  • Valuation Guidance: Explaining the difference between insurance appraisal value (retail replacement) and actual liquidation value (what a dealer will pay).

Deliverable: A clear verbal or written summary of what you own and its realistic market value.

2. Optional Direct Purchasing (Liquidation)

If your goal is to liquidate immediately, we offer a direct purchase service for qualifying precious metal items. This is a secondary convenience for our clients—there is never any obligation to sell.

Offers are based on the daily wholesale spot market price for the raw metal content (gold, silver, platinum).

  • ✓ U.S. 90% silver coins (pre-1965 dimes, quarters, halves)
  • ✓ Sterling silver flatware (by weight)
  • ✓ Foreign silver coins (purity verified)
  • ✓ Dental gold (metal content only)
  • ✓ Industrial platinum or palladium wire/scrap

Services We Do Not Provide

  • No Certified Appraisals: We do not provide written appraisals for insurance or tax purposes. We refer to certified gemologists for this.
  • No Retail Sales: We do not sell jewelry or coins to the public. We are strictly a consulting and liquidation firm.
  • No Loans or Pawning: We do not offer loans against collateral.
  • No Gemstone Purchasing: We generally do not purchase loose gemstones or diamonds.
